Are you an Enlightenment Agent in the greater Metro-Louisville area? Verification is your ticket to Louisville Enlightenment community, chats, events & operations.

There are a few ways to verify your E-Agent status.  Only those E-Agents using one of these methods will be counted as Verified.  The reason for this secrecy is, like any game, there are cheaters.  The ease of getting another gmail account, and giving oneself an Ingress code, use that Ingress account to spy on the other faction in the app "comms" for the Enlightened faction, to hack what would otherwise be enemy portals, flip portals to level up their own players, etc. has proven too tempting for some.  This is in violation of the Community Guidelines, which are binding when every player accepts the Terms of Service, which incorporates them by reference.

As the Community Guidelines says regarding Cheating: "Methods of cheating, unfortunately, are limited only by cheaters’ imaginations, but include at a minimum the following: playing with multiple accounts (one account per player, please); sharing accounts; win trading; using tools or techniques to alter or falsify your location; or selling or trading accounts."


So, in that same breath, WELCOME!  Ingress is a fun game and we hope to support each other.  Play hard.  Play fair.  Play the game together.  Ingress point structure and ability to share between players means the small dedicated group of engineers of Niantic Labs rewards cooperative play.  Here's how to get introduced to your fellow E-Agents in the Metro Louisville area:

FRIEND:
If a friend gave you an invitation code and they are a member of the community on G+, have them vouch for you.

EMAIL METHOD:
a) Load the Ingress application on your phone.
b) Tap the level icon to show your AP score
c) Take a screenshot that shows your name & AP score
d) Find the screenshot in the gallery and email it to: IngressEnlightenedLouisville (at) gmail.com
Use the subject line "Join Enlightened"
If you ARE a G+ user, the body of the message MUST include your G+ name and must be sent *from* the email address that is linked to your G+ account. That way we can be sure we're adding the right Brian Smith.
If you ARE NOT a G+ user, but you still want to be known as a verified agent, and have access to any other Enlightened communities & events, please add "NO G+" to the subject line.

To take a screenshot, for most phones, you need to press down on the volume button and the power key at the same time. If this method doesn't work for you, you can take a picture of your phone with another phone or camera, and email that; or ask in comm chat for help.

You should hear from us within 24 hours of your email, if it goes past that, please send your email again.

MEETUP METHOD:
Meet one of the Mods in real life, with your phone and proof of your faction choice. You can ask in COMM Faction chat if any of the mods are online and available.

We will use this information to corroborate that your Google+ identity and your Ingress identity match

Once you have been cleared by one of our verification team, you will receive further instructions on joining our communities.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THE 'JOIN' BUTTON ON THE LOUISVILLE ENLIGHTENED GOOGLE GROUP UNLESS YOU ARE ASKED TO.
This cuts down on delays & miscommunication.  When you join, you agree to the Louisville Enlightened Community Guidelines.  Take a moment to read through them.  Be sure to introduce yourself in the Screenname section.
